EMET 5.51, Windows 7 x64 and Outlook 2016 - December Click-2-Run - Microsoft Community


since december i've had outlook stop working 3 times. went through troubleshooting steps: new profile, repair, uninstall/reinstall, , on. first time uninstall/reinstall worked. second time removing office , installing offline media seemed work. third time determined appears actual cause of issue: conflict in december office update emet. unfortunately cannot seem prevent update happening because of c2r, , when does... outlook won't launch again.

to around issue, added exceptions in emet.

specifically, have added exceptions outlook.exe, officeclicktorun.exe, , officec2rclient.exe in emet selections cleared. these settings, first launch of outlook still fails - have kill in task manager, , second try launch outlook.

has else run issues c2r/outlook , december office update? there way configure emet outlook launch first time? there particular office update can block prevent microsoft breakage?

note emet has been installed years before december c2r update without having issues outlook, issue here in c2r/outlook , not emet.
