Source formatting in Outlook 2017 - Microsoft Community

i got updated 2017 outlook.

when i'm replying people lists of edits work, write next edit "fixed", bold , make red it's more visible. in 2010 version of outlook, able copy/paste red/bold "fixed" next each line made corrections...the red , bold stayed no matter how many times copy/pasted. in 2017 version, auto formats "fixed" whatever font/color/style on line i'm pasting to. paste, there's box drop down next it...click on , has options of keep source formatting, match destination formatting (this checked), or keep text only. if change keep source formatting, goes red , bold. never happened 2010 version.

i'm trying figure out if there's way have keep source formatting default. i've googled bunch , there options out there of go, it's 2010 , older...and 2017 version doesn't have options mentioned set default.

any suggestions/help appreciated!

hi megan,

clarification.

after doing many tests, have found can copy , paste “fixed” (bold , red) bold not red in next line. say, same result yours. however, have analyzed , checked find should related cursor has been moved next line , word typing (copy , paste still regarded ‘typing) should in accordance line cursor moved.

so, right procedure should re-add color after copy , paste in next line.

regards,
alan
