Some missing emails when changing from outlook 2007 to outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community

i had office 2007 on windows 8.1 laptop , laptop failed boot. laptop shut down normal on previous occasion using it.

 

i removed hard drive , connected externally laptop , windows directory removed entire outlook folder includes 1 .ost file , 4 .pst files.

 

i refitted hard drive in laptop , reinstalled windows instead of reinstalling office 2007, installed office 365 instead.

 

in outlook 2016, imported 4 .pst files there email folders missing there in outlook 2007.

 

there emails missing in folders. example, in 2 folders there emails there until 2016 no emails rest of 2016 , none 2017. these emails there in outlook 2007.

 

when importing there 3 different options duplicates, tried importing each .pst file 3 times using 3 different options.

 

i removed .ost file outlook 2016 created in windows directory , replaced the.ost file outlook 2007 outlook 2016 recreates new .ost file.

 

when imported first .pst file noticed file size smaller in outlook 2016 in outlook 2007 understand file size not relate data size. have not checked file sizes of other imported .pst files.

 

three of .pst files auto archive files created outlook 2007.

 

i have not done recent auto archive though outlook 2007 asked me recently.

 

in outlook 2016, imported 4 .pst files 1 data file created, thought of creating 4 data files , putting each .pst file in each data file. can soon.

 

my next idea uninstall office 365 , install office 2007. can auto archive , export 4 .pst files outlook 2007. can install office 365 again.

 

i'm assuming should nothing .ost file outlook 2007.

 

does please have advice on how fix this?

uninstalling office 365 install office 2007 has made difference.

i organised , have not deleted emails , have not moved emails .pst file.

what have mentioned in posts above facts!

i pleased have fixed problem.

in outlook 2007, used compact tool on 4 .pst files.

i copied , pasted emails 4 .pst files new .pst file.

i copied , pasted emails .ost file in case encounter problems again.

i installed office 365 , new .pst file showing emails in outlook 2016.

my reason changing office 365 because security updates office 2007 stop in october 2017.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
