changing export resolution of tiff from Powerpoint for Mac 2017 - Microsoft Community

hi

i need export slides powerpoint (have pp 2017 version 15.32 via office 365) high res tiffs @ 300 dpi thesis , publications

in previous versions of pp mac change export resolution function seems have gone.

the option seems to change height , width (set @ 720x540)

when open exported tiffs or jpegs 72dpi

does know how around this?

thanks v much

try this:

open presentation

choose file | export

in dialog appears, choose tiff export type.

you'll able choose number of pixels (dots) export.

that'll top out @ 3000 pixels, which, if presentation 10" wide or high, give 300dpi.

that's 300 dots per inch of powerpoint slide.

if publication runs image @ 5" wide, have 600dpi image.  if run larger 10", dpi commensurately less.

see, dpi, dots per inch, ratio, not resolution measurement.  it's relationship between number of pixels in image , size @ image sampled (in case of scans or exports programs ppt) or reproduced (in case of publications, printouts, etc.)

by itself, dpi doesn't tell anything.

and though dpi bs, answer didn't tell needed know either.  apologies that.
