Outlook "Save All Attachments" makes a copy of file - Microsoft Community


we receive 2 files daily , save them in same folder, want overwrite previous day. in past when click "save attachments" if file of same name in there, prompt replace, names file "filename (1), filename (2), etc.

is new feature of office 365 - outlook 2016 when select "save attachments" because when 1 attachment selected , attempted save prompt if folder has file named same. not prompt when save multiple. have tested on 2 computers latest version of outlook 2016.

thank letting know concern numbers showing @ end of downloaded attachment's file name. turns out format looking not yet available in outlook 2016.  since updating file name manually before saving file, best way address concern posting useful idea in our feedback hub. feedback hub way inform us, features need enhance suit in needs. so, check , download application on link.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
