PowerPoint taking too long to open - Microsoft Community


hello,

we testing moving files sharepoint online. 1 of powerpoint file has couple of links spreadsheet (also uploaded on sharepoint online). links in powerpoint file updated new location of spreadsheet , sharepoint location added in trust center powerpoint.

however, while opening file clicking on 'update links' on prompt, takes long open file (4-5 minutes). if 'cancel' hit, opens file instantaneously not update links. so, links needs updated manually going file tab.  it takes lot less time update links in file tab.

why updating links in file tab quicker updating links clicking on 'update links' in prompt? there way open file while updating links prompt?

hi bhavpreet,

as there many  links in powerpoint file, take long time find links , update them after click update links.

if go file>edit links files>it display links in links window. when click update now, update link selected. take short time update 1 link.  to update links, need select links 1 one , click update now.

there no other way update many links @ once.
