outlook.com contacts will only sync one way with android and outlook - Microsoft Community


i have added hotmail.com account exchange in outlook app on android (nexus 6).

contacts sync 1 way only.

problem:

  1. any new contact added via android native contacts app "hotmail.com" account deleted without warning on next sync.
  2. edits made hotmail.com contacts in native android contacts app overwritten , lost on next sync.

i have had problem more 1 year. have spent 50 man hours trying find solution.  because phone unusable without ability add or edit contacts, have been using partners old iphone 5c, syncs contacts both ways flawlessly means cant use smart watch.

my hotmail account "upgraded" exchange months back, result before , after same (after removing , re-adding of course)

i have spent 5 hours ms support teams.  

  1. first tried outlook android app  "in-app" support. got me reinstall outlook , account, , checked various things ok, said there nothing wrong setup, , must issue account itself. sent me ms account support eam.
  2. the ms account support team said account fine, , nothing them, , sent me desktop outlook support team.
  3. the desktop account team sent me account support team.
  4. the account support team told me go android outlook in-app support team. told me apple phone instead.

so looks 100 or people have same problem have no support, , no solution, other switch iphone.

on android device install outlook app play store, when start app add hotmail a/c requires a/c username & password only

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
