Importing & Exporting of Nickname Field with Outlook Contacts - Microsoft Community


good afternoon,

in our business, use nickname field in outlook contacts record staff call signs. the call signs consist of 4 x letters , 1-2 numbers, no spaces. eg. joseph bloggs’ call sign be: jhbs01.

we wish maintain contact list importing updated csv every week, can generated our staff database connects our rostering system. having problems importing large number of staff contacts because nickname field in contact record not apparent (not available) in list of available import/export fields.

can confirm if possible use field when mapping imported/exported contacts? if not, there reason why nickname field not available field can mapped in bulk export/import of contacts , can microsoft consider adding in future?

furthermore, there other field recommend use call sign going forward, e.g. initials field, when management searching contacts, call sign return contact?

hi peter,

that's idea on how save contacts of employees using nickname field. however, there's no available resource patch issue per advise. this, suggest post outlook feedback on link improve our products.
