Powerpoint Issues with Microsoft 365 - Microsoft Community

   have been using software 6 months without issue.  sudden when opened powerpoint presentation continue creating/editing, not let me save.  error message file cannot displayed , al images (there lot) missing red x image cannot displayed.  allows me continue edit more do, more of powerpoint work disappears.  saving onedrive i've been reading bad reviews.  i've tried create new powerpoint presentation, tried save name , tried save version of powerpoint.  nothing works. ideas?  devastated amount of work set lose.

i'm sorry have bad news, once see red xs, images gone. working in documents folder of user account safest location files, please avoid cloud or usb/flash drives except move or transfer files.

you can try following see if pictures still in file, unlinked slides:

  1. make copy of presentation documents folder of user account on local hard disk.
  2. add .zip file ending , click on ok when windows questions it.
  3. right-click , choose extract all.
  4. open ppt/images folder. photos still in presentation there. if there photos there aren't appearing on slides, can place them in powerpoint again.
