Mailbox hacked / compromised - Microsoft Community


hi

so guess have mailbox compromised password have been getting ndrs today spam subjects , hotmails addresses.

i guessing there trojan on office machine has outlook on. or spammers using email address 'from address'? should find out has happened?

any procedure this? if change password have find computer has been compromised or new password read too.

spf text dns record published domain. record lists devices (typically ip there other options) allowed send mail on behalf of domain. if spf check result hard failure, mail systems mark inbound message spam. extent, useful preventing others spoofing organization emails it’s not 1 hundred percent effective. can see spoofs organization deliver messages fails , gets ndrs.

when happens, eop generates non-delivery report (ndr) message , delivers “sender." because spammers use forged or invalid "from" address in messages, these ndrs sent you.

in situation, ndr backscatter can not receive these ndrs.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
