Outlook Search functionality broken after latest WU - Microsoft Community


this seems affect outlook versions including @ least outlook 2010, , windows versions @ least windows 7. error has been confirmed on multiple machines running windows 7 , windows 10, using both outlook 2010 , outlook 2016.

after starting outlook, users see eventid 36, error message

"search cannot complete indexing of outlook data. indexing cannot continue datastore.pst. (error=0x81004005). if error continues, contact microsoft support."
