Publisher 2016 - Microsoft Community

documents saved in publisher 2007 not display or print in publisher 2016 - eg lines close although still 1sp between them, etc. need produce new versions of these documents in 2016 - there way of fixing without changing formatting in each text box individually?

i believe describing has change in fonts , has been documented since win8 introduced , continues win10. 'new , improved' versions of fonts come win8 , win10 render different size in pub 2010 , newer can line spacing off. meanwhile make life more interesting pub 2007 , older not have same problem. solution have found far replace problem fonts older versions win7 or older machine...or run pub 2007 on win8 , 10 machines. read more:

may 2016 -  reference: windows 10 screws publisher 2010: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-publish/windows-10-screws-up-publisher-2010/e2638788-7176-4573-8776-b1a7bcbeca99 - example of replacing new version of fonts fixes problem.

july 2015 - reference: publisher 2007 , publisher 2013 paginates differently: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-publish/publisher-2007-and-publisher-2013-paginates/2ff3812a-5874-46dd-8c57-87aa3f86a321 - tested , documented thread showing text rendering issue continues in win10, limited pub 2013 , 2010 (and pub 2016). if install pub 2007 or 2003 in win10, win8, win7, winvista or winxp files still render text same , cross os compatible.

bottom line unless go using pub 2007 or install win7 or older fonts have reformat text boxes. choice has been continue use older versions of publisher. many feel pub 2007 best version , has been downhill since.
