outlook 2016 not work if "offline".

! mark in grey triangle , "trying connect" comes on bottom tab right side  "working offline" be.

to better assistance, we’d collect information:

  1. whether updated outlook before issue occurred?
  2. the type of account, imap, pop3 or exchange. how set it?
  3. if account exchange account, can use owa(outlook web app) normally?
  4. the version of outlook 2016. click file > office account > about outlook .

 

meanwhile, suggest try following workarounds:

  1. run outlook in safe mode. exit outlook > hold ctrl key, startup outlook> on pop-up windows, choose yes.
  2. repair data file. click file > account setting > account setting > choose account, click repair. note: please data.
