Outlook Window Randomly Popping Into View. - Microsoft Community


i'm hoping out there has suggestion seem have baffled level 1 , level 2 support @ microsoft. long time-maybe since installed office 365 can't remember exactly-while outlook hidden , working in other program (any other program seems) outlook window randomly pops view covering window of current program working in. interestingly, outlook not become active program (the menu bar still shows program had been working in) before can continue , doing need click on outlook window bring outlook front can re-hide outlook making original program working on become active again , unobstructed. interesting, , annoying, fact if in hurry , not click window make outlook active before hiding outlook again use "hide" short cut window not hide , when activate outlook cannot hide outlook rather have quit outlook ("hide" in menu greyed out , "hide" short cut nothing). said, start long ago can't remember starting after adding new program or other specific event. problem has persisted on many updates outlook , getting new computer (old imac new imac). uninstalled , reinstalled office programs did not work (i had put 1 of group container folders uninstall process tells trash emails, contacts, etc. if problem in folder have been transferred after uninstall-reinstall). have had 3 level 1 chat sessions ms technician remoted in control computer , last weekend level 2 session equally disappointing result. level 2 technician said problem unique having never been reported before hoping 1 of had encountered , solved without bothering ms have not heard of have.

any hints or suggestions appreciated.

i understand outlook window randomly pops out when working on programs on mac. , hide it, need active bring front first. correct? if yes, issue, please provide following information?

  1. when issue happens, outlook in active status (keep active in menu bar below)? or didn’t turn on before , open automatically.

  2. the symptom of issue. including how pop out , how hide it, how cannot hide , can quit. a video better. 

  3. i understand have been changed new mac , update outlook client, put 1 of group container folders every time. want confirm if issue happens in same account.

  4. the version of outlook mac client.

    for example: version 15.30 (170107). can check by: 

    1. clicking on menu labeled outlook (next apple logo in top left corner of screen).
    2. clicking outlook.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
