Reconnect Outlook 2016 or Outlook 2013 to Outlook.com - all local - Microsoft Community


i got "reconnect outlook 2016 or outlook 2013 outlook.com uninterrupted email access" email in hotmail account, , @ same time, of email folders in local outlook client relating hotmail account showing empty, "we didn't find show here" message.  so local email 1 microsoft. webmail , email on phone looks fine.

i followed re-connection instructions, still have no local email. have left pc , outlook connected overnight, hoping re-synching on rather slow internet connection (this has happened before , took 4 hours), still have no local email. status bar says connected, , alternates between "waiting server response" , "all folders  up date".

my gmail account (which uses same outlook client) seems unaffected, folders ok.  

i did email backup before doing re-connection, claims 20,105 kb in size - fear may gmail folders.

i using windows 8.1 , office version 15.0.4893.1002

how local email back?
