winmail.dat won't go away - Microsoft Community


this relatively recent problem, in last 3 months. outlook settings have been html emails , can't remember last time have used rtf/tnef email message. recipients reporting winmail.dat instead of jpegs or pdfs on platforms don't support extracting files. i'm using office 365 version of outlook on windows 10 pc date, , backend outlook.com think runs on exchange/office365 now.

what options resolve this, i've tried listed online including of registry hacks suggested slipstick

fixed in update earlier year, , has gone away me using office 365 subscription version of outlook. i'm on version 1710 build 8625.2127
