Mac Outlook 2016 New Mail Display - Not Working - Microsoft Community


upgraded mac office 2016. new mail notifications in bottom right corner no longer appearing. settings correct in preferences (i.e, "display alert on desktop" checked in preferences under notifications , sounds. contacted support , went through several steps, including full removal of vestiges of mac office 2011. reinstalled. no luck.

tested "bounce outlook icon dock" feature, didn't use before. works.

screenshot. however, bottom-right pop-up banners , alerts option not available in outlook 2016 in mac.

outlook 2016 mac office 365 offers additional options when comes notifications because integrated in mac os x notification center.

can access outlook mac’s notification center preferences opening system preferences, clicking notifications , selecting microsoft outlook list of applications on left.

there options alert styles (none, banners, alerts), , options regarding notifications. banners , alerts small windows appear in upper right corner of screen when new email received.

banners appear 5 seconds , disappear on own. alerts not disappear on own.  must dismiss them performing action on them.

time , understanding highly appreciated.
