Outlook 2016 - error when trying to move messages to a folder, using - Microsoft Community


hello!

i have been long time outlook user, last year made career change has led me having use gmail address business purposes. @ first, outlook working great, few months in started getting below error time tried move message folder in outlook, important me keep track of communications related specific transaction. the folders in outlook automatically created when added gmail account , align existing labels in gmail account.

this has been ongoing year. gave using outlook , have been using gmail's web app hate it. prefer using outlook if can resolve this.

i posted question on google's forum , felt i'd better answer here since it's outlook throwing error.

for assist on concern, can verify if there emails changes hasn't saved yet or messages not yet saved/sent before moving them? best have them auto-saved before moving them avoid error. also, kindly tell type of account you're using. exchange, imap, or pop? if it's imap, try go file > account settings > double-click imap account > more settings > advanced tab > under "folders", type "inbox" in blank box of "root folder path" > ok. helped users.
