hi phillip,

i used ms database utility app.  hesitant creating new identity, figured might try.  have several identities in there.  picked one, , clicked on "rebuild".  after has been rebuilt, rename that identity. click on identity , click on little cog looking thing , click on "set default".  close application , reopen it.  should able use search function.

you using ms 360, i'm not sure if work.  took leap of faith , kinda played it, rebuilding, , renaming, , setting new identity default.

the first time tried it, there old backup 2012, , rebuilt one, renamed it, , set default identity.  when opened outlook took me emails 2012!  nothing new!  so, went ms database , chose rebuild recent backup (like 1 day old), renamed it, , set default , worked.

i'm not sure how rid of old identities.  must have 10 of them, , long can use emails , able search them, i'm happy.

hope helps!

wes
