Outlook issue with calendar & attachments - Microsoft Community


yesterday applied windows updates included office 2010 updates.

since then, whenever add attachment calendar appointment in outlook, attaches ok if try double click open attachment following message:

the program used create object outlook. program either not installed on computer or not responding. edit object, install outlook or ensure dialog boxes in outlook closed.

this windows 7 professional installation , running virtual desktop environment in business 300 staff. it's been reported @ least 5 different users today , can reproduce error myself. has been happening since applied windows updates base vdi image yesterday.

it doesn't matter type of file attachment is, .pdf, .msg, .docx, .xlsx etc. same issue occurs when user tries open attachment embedded in calendar appointment.

the patches applied our vdi image yesterday attached screenshot.

appreciate assistance, have searched web results thing seems come related adobe acrobat, don't use nor have installed in our environment.

i have solved issue of poster srm in thread.

the fix uninstall patch kb3203467.

microsoft reps, have comments make around patch? bug needs attention?
