User's attachments (excel,word, pdf, etc...) now being - Microsoft Community


so ever since reinstalled office on user's computer reset, attachments (all kinds) not being presented in normal way (right under subject line).  instead attached in body of message , represented bitmap picture looks it's 1990. having not run issue before have no idea start.

anybody have experience running issue , have ideas?

to better understand situation, i’d confirm following information:

  1. what’s detailed version of outlook client , os?
  2. please try running outlook in safe mode see if issue persists. press ctrl while click outlook icon

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
