Outlook for Android and Gmail Account - Microsoft Community


i have android device , installed outlook on it.  adding exchange account went swimmingly.  have firefox , chrome installed on there.  every time try add gmail accounts tells me have have supported browser.  ideas how can add gmail accounts on there?

hello,

you need manually setup gmail account using imap in outlook app. when set email account manually using imap, emails sync. here's how setup imap account in outlook android:

  1. in outlook android app, go settings > add account > add email account.
  2. enter email address. tap add account.
  3. enter password , additional server settings may need email provider. tap sign-in.
  4. make sure enabled imap on email account email provider.
