Archive folder duplication - Microsoft Community


for reason, outlook / office 365 has created new archive mailbox called 'archive 1'. in addition original 'archhive' mailbox.

outlook (mac , ios) both use newer 'archive 1' mailbox. every other client seems use older 'archive' mailbox. 

i cannot rename 'archive 1', nor can delete it. can temporarily delete 'archive' returns archive on non-outlook client.

surely there must way single archive folder work across various devices , clients?

thanks updates. if using exchange protocol, since you have deleted folder in outlook windows, sync happen automatically client sever server client. folder disappear outlook mac client.

if still persists, i suggest that you move emails in “archive” folder “archive 1” folder. after that, can delete “archive” folder , change “archive 1” folder name “archive”.

for question" why not possible in outlook mac?", if scnario same image below, expected behavior cannot delete it.

as can see screenshot, first 1 folder's button different form second one's. first folder the button means 1 click archive folder: quick archive feature on home tab of ribbon sends messages “archive 1” folder.

it not feasible remove archive folder first button folders tree.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
