Outlook 2010 - Microsoft Community


i set email account in outlook 2010 using imap settings , can receive mail cannot send any.  in checking error, found should check box says 'log on incoming server before sending mail' can found in outgoing server tab of internet email options.  however, option not there.  i've reinstalled windows on pc , office professional 2010.  is there patch or update give me option?

  • did make changes on computer prior issue?
  • when did issue start?
  • are there error codes/messages preventing performing action?

meanwhile, suggest disable third party firewall, antispyware, or antivirus programs on pc , check if same issue persists.
