Clicking Outlook email links shows "Application not found" - Microsoft Community


after using default programs editor can no longer open links in windows 7 outlook 2007 emails chrome 56.  the error is:

 

general failure.  the url was: [...]  application not found.

 

chrome not listed in control panel\all control panel items\default programs\set default programs.  i can open links if set default program firefox.  

 

when attempt set current default http(s) protocols in control panel\all control panel items\default programs\set associations, program appears firefox.

 

what should can open links in outlook emails chrome?
