Which PowerPoint slide size is best, and what does 'Slide - Microsoft Community


i'm confused because created presentation in google slides , downloaded it.
it 4:3 in size, , when created brand new powerpoint pres, in widescreen.
i'm not sure differences are, , best. decided switch 4:3 on powerpoint, , got strange slide scaling thing. 

  1. which size want?
  2. what slide scaling, , pick if decide switch 4:3?

what's best depend on circumstances.

will projecting presentation or using on computer (for display or printing)?

if pc's screen 4x3 aspect ratio , won't using projector, i'd stick 4x3.  likewise, if have 1 of newer widescreen laptops, i'd go widescreen option.

between 2 options, 1 means "take that's on current slide , make sure fits on new size" means "letterbox" presentation ... add black fill areas don't match in proportions. 

the other option liable crop parts of presentation in order make fit.  may or may not ok, depending on content of show.

i'd make 2 copies of original presentation , try both methods of resizing, see suits best.
