Outlook 2016 IMAP Issues for Inbox - Microsoft Community


hello all,

i have several users experiencing odd issues gmail , outlook 2016 (using private domain). started happening tuesday june 27 @ around 10:00 edt. new email arriving in inbox in gmail not sync inbox in outlook 2016. had not changed on client. happened 10 individuals. email flagged @ gmail (such message important flag) sync respective folders in outlook. appears inbox affected. should noted not problem same users have email configured on iphone. email shows correctly on iphone not outlook 2016 installed on windows 10.

for users:

imap enabled
outlook configured correctly (was working , stopped in middle of day).
users in south east part of usa. (not sure if relevant).
send / receive completes normally
outbound emails work (smtp fine).
email shows correctly in web interface
email shows correctly in other imap clients

i appreciate suggestions or hearing people having similar issues. thank in advance!

once thing provided temporary relief create new folder , move of email messages inbox (on web client) new folder. new folder , contents synced outlook , new subsequent emails arriving inbox flowed through outlook inbox. users being tested on, temporary new emails stopped flowing through.

is aware of changes made @ google or on outlook 2016 client (or other os related changes win 8.1 , 10) cause this? has affected of our users use outlook 2016 (office 365 , standalone). thought users not affected seems were.

i have several users problems yours. of them stop receive emailss yerterday @ morning, 1 of them can not receive new emails in inbox (the last email 10:33pm of yesterday, can not synch sents emails). have reconfigured 1 account of user in other pc, impossible sent emails (i can see synchronising sents emails). actully i`ve postting  a issue yours.

we use private domain email accounts @expan.cl, if know something, please let me know it.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
