Trouble Editing Message in Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community


have outlook 2016, today tried format or edit email, change font size, style, etc depending who, , why. when click either reply or forward compose tools grey , not give me options edit it. try different emails , still same issue. please assist me.

make sure active cursor in message body (click in it) , composing in html format. can't apply formatting when composing in plain text format.

when original message in plain text, you'll replying in plain text. change message format, click on "pop out" button (when replying in reading pane) , select format text tab.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
