Limited Search Results for Outlook.com and Outlook 2016 - Microsoft Community


recently, within last month (since c. jan. 1 2017), have noticed outlook 2016 not finding email messages in individual mailboxes when search term.  number of messages large of mailboxes have been in use on decade, this, items found.  small (maybe 100 messages) number found, , @ end word “searching,” never changes , which, if click on it, opens new message write in account.  have made sure “mail keep offline” set all.  went outlook online, , found small number (perhaps 200) messages found term of interest, there many more; nothing shown me before 2013.  have looked in forum, not sure looking.  perhaps can me, if point me correct thread.  thank you.

something try just to see if helps.  in outlook click file, options, search.  uncheck box labeled "improve search speed limiting number of results shown".  restart outlook.

its concerning me though not seeing results when searching on outlook.com on web.  try step above , lets see if helps.
