Outlook from Office 365 desktop notifications not working - Microsoft Community


yes it's check marked in outlook settings. when turn on action center notifications, there no sound (regardless of whether turn on/off "play sound when notification"). when turn off action center (get notifications apps , other senders) play 'you got mail' sound (makes perfect sent me!)

i believe lack of desktop notification because of conflict action center. thing right sound, , little envelope when mail.

thank waiting. since have no other application test, difficult determine whether issue related windows system or outlook client.

to further troubleshoot issue, please try perform steps below:

1. type troubleshooting in search bar. 

2. select troubleshooting.

3. select view all on top left corner.

4. click on playing audio.

5. follow on-screen instructions run troubleshooter.

meanwhile, confirm if using exchange online account setup in outlook.  if yes, can configure through exchange, imap or pop? , check if there improvement.

regarding desktop notification,  remember notification appears when email arrives in inbox (not subfolders) , new, unread email messages (not send/receive).

also check in start > settings > ease of access > other options > set notification duration , visual notification sound.

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
