Keyboard input language disables PPT language setting - Microsoft Community


have german keyboard , use of course german keyboard settings. however, must make ppt presentation in english text correction in english. language settings ok (yes, in english , pc has been restarted), these useless since deactivated if use german keyboard character setting. if use english keyboard settings text correction in ppt works complicate type on german keyboard trying guess corresponding character on english one. can out , tell me how fix that?

as written above, did already. editing , display languages set both english. not work.

then tried "review - language - set proof language" , chose english. still nothing: stubbornly sticks @ german.

the support states: "in language dialog box or proofing language pane, clear check box detect language automatically." in pane there no such thing "detect language automatically". however, there box "do not check spelling". cleared that... , voila'... works. totally misleading! since still checks spelling, in english instead of german. 

i suggest in next version microsoft develops more user friendly language setting!!
