Outlook 2016 updated to version 1705 cannot add attachments from http - Microsoft Community


hello,

our company sending emails attachments following steps:

1. copy http link clipboard, "http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/7/5/d750d5b9-8692-42fc-80d8-0ea9c3e76739/sql_server_2016_mission_critical_performance_white_paper.pdf"

2. create new email,

3. click on "attach file"

4. in filename input, paste link

5. click "insert"

previously has download file , attached email. works on machine runs outlook 2010 , have been working on machines running office 365, outlook 2016 version 1609. version 1705 error instead, , no file attached.

we run swedish version , error message "ett fel uppstod vid uppdatering av behörigheter för <filename>.", translation "an error occurred when updating access rights <filename>.". options "try again" , "close". (my translations once again). clicking "try again" options not solve problem.

based on test, latest version of monthly channel 1708 8431. 2094, can download file web link in outlook client. please try update outlook client again?
