Powerpoint freezes after inserting video - Microsoft Community


i'm using powerpoint 2010 ,  i insert video. after video has played powerpoint can moved on next few slides using arrow keys freezes , has moved on using mouse. after works fine. i've tried various different formats video - freezes mp4 , avi not wmv, mpg or asf (but these playback of video stutters). have solution? thanks.

you may encountering problem because powerpoint outdated. let's consider things understand better , find best resolution. kindly answer these questions:

  • do error messages when program freezes?
  • were able insert videos same formats before without running problems?
  • do encounter same problem when inserting different video same format?

we recommend installing new office updates if there available. updates shall allow program components function correctly. learn how can install office updates, click link.

it shed light cause of problem if run powerpoint in safe mode. disable add-ins run when open program in normal mode. refer page instructions in doing suggestion.
