Why can't I replace some fonts? - Microsoft Community


the format > replace font feature not working fonts.

i unable remove (or replace) fonts presentation custom theme, can replace others.

in replace font window, next replace: i select replace (font want deleted) with (anything else) hit replace, nothing happens. (font want deleted) still in replace dropdown menu.

the fonts want replace (helvetica neue , helvetica light) not used visibly on of slides. using lato fonts, half of able replace, other half can't replace (see video).

tried:

  • creating new document
    • helvetica not appear in replace font window of new blank document, arial , calibri do. a similar issue happens other fonts, able replace calibri, not arial, when theme font set calibri.
    • when select custom theme created in new document, helvetica neue , helvetica light appear in replace font window, the issue seems related theme settings.
      • the theme fonts set calibri
  • clicking text boxes on both presentation slides , master slides verify helvetica neue , helvetica light not being used
  • clearing font cache , restarting
  • converting fonts .ttf, disabling font manager, , installing them locally
  • adding ttf font microsoft assets font folder
  • deleting of slides , master slides. font still remains in document.
  • offering computer beer

suggestions online don't apply version:

  1. save file webpage (this feature dropped after 2008) , open html in text editor locate span classes containing font name, delete , recreate text box in ppt.
  2. open ppt word isolate font usage, delete , recreate text box in ppt. feature no longer available. 

why?

the reason want remove fonts because 1) not used in presentation , 2) not .ttf fonts. sharing presentation windows user using mac imbedding application requires .ttf fonts. fonts used in presentation transferring , embedding except these fonts can't replace, windows user gets error message when saving saying these fonts cannot saved. trying avoid error message deleting these unused fonts document itself.

i'll give week consider matter closed, delete files, keep calm , keep moving on.  ;-)

know if there way insert attachment (e.g., document) within meeting invite not own. example, vp creates meeting invite managers quick touch base.  the managers attach document invitees may view 'summary' while being discussed).  is possible invitee include attachment? hello janice, you can send attachment meetings got invited in outlook 2016. can insert attachment going event go insert tab select attach file . click send update send meeting updates, including attachment. let know if need further assistance.
