Outlook Messages Sources taking up huge amount of space - Microsoft Community


hello all,

desperately looking solution - folder: /users/jlg/library/group containers/ubf8t346g9.office/outlook/outlook 15 profiles/main profile/data/message sources, sitting @ 76gb of data. 

i have plenty of emails (+/- 4000), considering attachments these messages sitting @ 2,4gb, size of message sources folder seems beyond ridiculous. 

what can do? running outlook 15.31 on macbook air [el capitan], through office 365 subscription, connecting our work email through imap exchange account [preference/internet accounts].

message sources didn’t contain emails , attachments. contains cache , settings in outlook mac app. have larger size size of emails , attachments.

said account connecting work email through imap exchange account [preference/internet accounts], let know how exact account configured, via imap or exchange mode? please capture screenshot of detailed account type screenshot below:

generally, if using office 365 business account, recommended add account via exchange mode. suggest create new profile , add account new profile via exchange mode.
note: please backup email data before creating new profile.
