Scrolling in Outlook (desktop app) inbox - Microsoft Community


when viewing inbox , try scroll down messages, goes down couple messages, pops right top - , appears similar new message appearing @ top (but same most-recent message there 5 seconds ago).  this happens mouse scroll wheel , scrollbar on side of inbox.  if click on open area of scroll bar, instead of paging down jumps down halfway down inbox.  

the way can see messages below visible @ top of inbox use arrow key , jump down 1 @ time.

its frustrating try , find email in inbox, there way correct this?

may know whether using office 365 account (or exchange account) in outlook client?

if so, make sure account’s setting “mail keep offline” has been set “all”. if not, can adjust , wait emails on server downloaded mailbox (inbox). ensure this, can restart outlook after have adjusted setting. then, can try scrolling down see if works. may refer setting adjustment via https://support.office.com/en-us/article/change-how-much-mail-to-keep-offline-f3a1251c-6dd5-4208-aef9-7c8c9522d633.

on hand, understanding have quite many emails in inbox. outlook has mechanism sync server (vice versa) in interval. needs reaction time scroll down top lower messages messages keeping on server before being downloaded inbox. given situation, can have try on account (for example, outlook.com account) has tens of emails in inbox check result.
