Updating same slides which are in multiple PowerPoint presentations - Microsoft Community

dear community

let's have powerpoint presentation named bigpresentation with around 150+ slides.
have presentation named smallpresentation with selection of around 30 slides bigpresentation.

now, if make update or changes slides in bigpresentation, have check if affected slides in smallpresentation. if so, have same updates , changes second time. doing same work twice.

so question: there somewhere option(function, tool,...) makes easier? tells smallpresentation: "hey smallpresentation, slides 3-5- take slides 24,38 , 66 bigpresentation." way, if make changes bigpresentation, automatically updated in smallpresentation.

you may linking feature purpose -

1. open both presentations.

2. copy slide in bigp ,  in smallp > home tab > paste > paste special > paste link

3. adjust linked slide size of frame in smallp.

4. have slides want automatic update happen for.

5. whenever, open smallp, ask whether want update links. can choose yes...(bigp needs remain open otherwise cause delay)

6. if want update linking without closing , reopening, can right click on slide , update link.

7. if comfortable vba, can use below macro update links in 1 go

       activepresentation.updatelinks

end sub

(press alt+f11 open vb editor. right click on ppt name > insert > module , copy , paste above. can press alt+f8 in ppt , run macro there update in 1 go. have save smallp .pptm not .pptx)

note - if linking, have update linked slides bigp only. not able edit in smallp.
