Mailbox size limit? - Microsoft Community


this morning moved email old account outlook.com using imap , people trying email me receive email:

this automatically generated delivery status notification.

delivery following recipients failed.

*** email address removed privacy ***

diagnostic-code: smtp;552 5.2.2 message larger current system limit or recipient's mailbox full. create shorter message body or remove attachments , try sending again.

i found out online of mailbox size increases several gb in day, may need wait few days before more storage space becomes available.

how long supposed wait until email account unlocked? annoying!

when bought subscription, remember distinctly 1 of advantages on gmail, instance, 1 tb of cloud storage , unlimited email within limits.

office says "storage space outlook.com email increases monthly" , gives advice on how limit size of mailbox. not find useful @ , situation becoming bothering. bought 1 tb of cloud storage , me decide how want use it!

on top of that, have been backing important email. hard tell if has been backed or not. if got lost on way? in meantime, may receiving important email, not being delivered. how long embarrassing situation supposed last?

i need know size of mailbox @ given time, how space have left and when able more space. not remember having kind of problems gmail. disappointed!

your office 365 subscription comes onedrive storage , not apply outlook.com. outlook.com separate service being offered free.

gmail has similar limitations in place against "explosive growth" of mailboxes. may not have deal gmail mailbox size had grown on time.

you can either contact microsoft support phone , request mailbox size extended. way go copy mail local pst-file , upload data in smaller increments.

also note when mailbox connected exchange account (and not exchange activesync account), won't need use imap account upload data. more info this, see: adding outlook.com account outlook
